That was our concept when we created Bond, a comprehensive suite of safety services built for the way we live our lives today. Available through an app on your phone and connected to a 24/7 Command Center staffed with Personal Security Agents.
As Head of Product Design, I was responsible for building out the team that drove the central design vision behind our app, internal proprietary software, and consumer-facing hardware. As part of the role, I was heavily integrated with the marketing & engineering teams to create consistency across the entire customer experience.

Process
Testing, simulating, and getting clarity in the safety space has been the greatest research challenge I’ve faced to date. It required thinking completely outside the box and evolving the common research methodologies I’ve honed over the years.
Over the course of 18 months, I led an iterative approach to research across our entire ecosystem. Some of the highlights included renting a warehouse in Red Hook Brooklyn, where we were able to simulate a real sense of uncertainty and nervousness for participants, all while keeping them completely safe in reality. These were followed by detailed interviews to understand insights into what they had experienced and how the app had responded.
